1909-1926 Reference Lists of Fleisher Yarns

Store or salesman’s box displaying the stages of yarn processing from raw wool through very fine yarn. Most likely from before 1910.

 

As a general guide, 8-fold is generally equivalent to modern 5-Bulkily, 4-fold is generally equivalent to modern 4-worsted weight, 3-fold to DK weight, 2-fold to sock/fingering weight.

This is from the 1917 Fleisher’s Knitting and Crochet Manual, 15th Edition.

Sadly, the second page is very fragile; I couldn’t get a really good scan of the second page without tearing it even more so I typed in the fuzzy text over the scan.
