I’ve dated this book to most likely 1960. All the patterns in this book are completed using crochet. This 36-page booklet contains 10 or so doily patterns. The patterns use vintage “Lily Tatting-Crochet Cotton” which I believe was very close to modern crochet thread in size 80 or size 100; “Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton” and “Lily Mercrochet” in sizes 20 and 30, . All the crochet patterns use a “steel crochet hook” Numbers 12, 13 or 14 which for this time period, is most likely equivalent to a modern US No. 12, 13 or 14 steel crochet hooks (1.00mm, 0.75mm and 0.85 millimeters). Overall, these patterns read in such a way you should have no problems understanding them in a modern context. I would rate the patterns as overall moderate in difficulty.
This digital scan is a complete reproduction of the entire booklet. Each page has been lightly cleaned up, but it has not been retyped or updated to current terminology and/or techniques.
