This 36-page booklet contains 25 or so classic sock and mitten patterns to knit or crochet. This book has no copyright notice printed anywhere on it nor is there any copyright registration or renewal found. I date it to around 1962 based on issue number and it’s still using a 2-digit ZIP Code. The patterns use vintage fingering or “knitting worsted” yarn. Modern fingering, sport/baby and worsted weight yarns should work well. Overall, these patterns read in such a way you should have few to no problems understanding them in a modern context. The patterns are straightforward to follow, and I would rate them as easy to moderate in difficulty.
This PDF file is an old file I downloaded over 15 years ago but I honestly don’t remember where I got it from. I post it here for your convenience. The original creator of this PDF book scanned the black and white pages in greyscale. It does look like each page had been lightly cleaned up, but it has not been retyped or updated to current terminology and/or techniques. The PDF file does not contain the back cover of the book.
