I’ve dated this book to most likely 1963 or 1964.  Ravelry dates it to 1977 but based on the design and typography of the book, the pattern numbering, the book’s number, the suggested threads to use, etc., there’s no way this book was published in 1977.  Maybe it was re-issued in 1977 but a thorough copyright search shows no records at all for this book nor does this book have a copyright date printed on it.   All patterns use crochet.  This 36-page booklet contains 13 or so doily patterns.  The patterns use vintage “Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton”, “Lily Mercerized Crochet Cotton”, “Lily Sky-Tone Mercerized Crochet Cotton” and “Lily Mercrochet” in sizes 20, 30 and 50.  Some embroidery floss is also used.  The crochet patterns use a “steel crochet hook” Numbers 7, 9, 10, 12, 13 or 14 which for this time period, is most likely equivalent to a modern US steel crochet hooks using the same numbers (1.65mm, 1.5mm, 1.4mm, 1.3mm, 1.1mm, 1.0mm, 0.85mm, and 0.75 millimeters).  Overall, these patterns read in such a way you should have no problems understanding them in a modern context.  I would rate the patterns as overall moderate in difficulty.

This digital scan is a complete reproduction of the entire booklet.  Each page has been lightly cleaned up, but it has not been retyped or updated to current terminology and/or techniques.

THIS IS A SCANNED BOOK OF PATTERNS.

This book has NOT been retyped.  Should it be retyped by me in the future, you will automatically receive the updated version.  Should you have any issues with reading the text of the patterns, please let me know and I will adjust the scan as needed for you.

This listing is for the PDF file download only, NOT a finished product.
