This 24-page booklet was originally published in 1940 by The Spool Cotton Company and is now in the public domain, as the copyright was never renewed. This is a digital scan of the 5th edition and is a complete reproduction of the entire booklet. Each page has been cleaned up, but it has not been retyped or updated to current knitting terminology and/or techniques.
There are about a dozen different patterns along with a few variations. Each pattern includes sizing information in inches, so you should be able to adapt the patterns to modern body sizes without any difficulty.
Sport-weight and worsted weight yarns should result in the best outcomes, depending upon the pattern. Most patterns are quite straight-forward, and I would rate them as “Easy” to “Moderate” in difficulty.
THIS IS A SCANNED BOOK OF PATTERNS.
This book has NOT been retyped. Should it be retyped by me in the future, you will automatically receive the updated version. Should you have any issues with reading the text of the patterns, please let me know and I will adjust the scan as needed for you.
This listing is for the pattern only, NOT a finished product.
