Description
This 104-page book contains 79 assorted sweater, coat, skirts, baby clothes, blankets, Afghans, hats, scarfs, shawls, gloves and more popular Edwardian era patterns. The book contains terrific photos and descriptions of the knitting and crocheting stitches used. The patterns use the following vintage Fleisher yarns: Germantown Zephyr (mostly 4-fold with a few 8-fold patterns), Knitting Worsted, Dresden Saxony, Spanish Worsted, Shetland Floss, and Superior Ice Wool yarns. Modern sport, DK, worsted weight and bulky yarns will work with minimal hassle. Overall, these patterns read in such a way you should have no problems understanding them in a modern context. I would rate the patterns as easy to moderate in difficulty.
This digital scan is a complete, full color reproduction of the entire book. I am of the “scans should be as close as possible to the original” school of thought so while each page has been slightly cleaned up, it has not been retyped or updated to current terminology and/or techniques, and it is not optimized for printing. By selecting “black and white” when printing, it may print with light grey background but should still be easily readable. If you need a “proper” printer-friendly PDF version, just contact me and I’ll get you sorted.
THIS IS A SCANNED BOOK OF PATTERNS.
This book has NOT been retyped. Should it be retyped by me in the future, you will automatically receive the updated version. Should you have any issues with reading the text of the patterns, please let me know and I will adjust the scan as needed for you.
This listing is for the PDF file download only, NOT a finished product.
